Welcome to Norway’s second largest city, the Hanseatic fishing port of Bergen, surrounded by seven hills. One of the prettiest cities in Norway, Bergen dates back to the 12th century. Admire the many pretty multi-coloured wooden buildings, a short way from your Special Stay residence for the next two nights.

During the Middle Ages, Bergen was Norway’s major seaport, as well as its capital, a legacy that can still be seen today. You will have the opportunity to discover Bergen and drive to Troldhaugen, the former home of Edvard Grieg, Norway’s most celebrated composer and pianist.

Enjoy a private piano concert at Edvard Grieg’s concert hall, Troldsalen.

Freechoice: Journey 320 metres up the funicular railway to Mount Fløyen for a spectacular view of the city and fjord. Alternatively, take the tram to Fantoft to explore the Fantoft Stave Church. Enhance your art knowledge with an art specialist at the Munch Museum. Explore one of the most comprehensive one-man museums in the world, home to over half of Munch’s paintings, including ‘The Scream’.

Transfer to the airport for your flight to the trendy Swedish capital, Stockholm. Built on 14 islands connected by 57 bridges and looking proudly out onto the Baltic Sea, Stockholm is said to be one of the most beautiful capital cities in the world. The graceful architecture, the greenery, the fresh air and the proximity to the water are distinctive traits of this city. Spend the next two nights at your Special Stay hotel.

Your local guide will unveil the city’s most treasured hotspots during a city tour. You will discover the City Hall with its spire featuring the golden Three Crowns, one of Sweden’s most famous buildings; you will also see the Riddarholm Church and the Royal Palace. Then, visit the Vasa Ship Museum located on the island of Djurgården, where the 17th century warship ‘Vasa’ is now housed after it tragically capsized and sank on its inaugural voyage in 1628. This evening enjoy a highlight dinner at Fem Sma Hus, a mixture of Swedish cuisine with a French touch, in a stunning historical setting.

This morning, tour the wonderful Rosenborg Castle, an elegant Renaissance castle built as a country summerhouse in 1606. Rosenborg Castle features 400 years of magnificence, royal art treasures, the Crown Jewels and Royal Regalia. You will also get to see the delightful courtyard of Amalienborg Palace, home to Princess Mary and the Danish Royal Family.

Spectacular days await as you cruise Disko Bay. Ilulissat is named from the Inuit word for ‘iceberg’. Formerly called Jakobshavn, the town is best known for large number of icebergs breaking away from the nearby Ilulissat Icefjord, into which one of the world’s fastest moving and most active glaciers calves 46 cubic kilometres of ice annually. Listen for the rumbling sounds in the distance of icebergs calving from the Sermeq Kujalleq Glacier.

A town of only 1,100 inhabitants, Upernavik is located in the picturesque Archipelago consisting of over 100 rocky islands. Officially founded in 1772, this area had been explored by Inuit hunters much earlier. A Viking runestone was also found atop a mountain just to the west of Upernavik, dating the area to approximately the 13th century.

Discovery: Explore the villages lining the shore by kayak, gliding past the islands that dot the archipelago, be guided by the Discovery Team in the hopes of witnessing muskox in the Upernavik backcountry or cruise by Zodiac to the Upernavik Icefjord.

The largest nature reserve in Greenland, established to protect breeding polar bears, beluga whales and narwhals. With a coastline marked with calving glaciers, Melville Bay is home to remarkable icebergs of all shapes and sizes.

Savissivik is a magical place that has to be seen to be believed. Considered to be one of the biggest iceberg graveyards in Greenland, it is a photographer's dream. This small Inuit village was also home to one of the world's largest meteorites, used by the local Inuits for tools.

Discovery: Weave between these icy giants onboard Zodiacs with your expert Discovery Team. For a more active excursion, hike to a viewpoint nearby to enjoy an incredible view of this vast landscape from above.

One of the northern-most towns in the world, Qaanaaq has been romanticised by poets and explorers alike. Arrive with an open mind and be ready to experience life the local way, falling into the Greenlandic rhythm.

Discovery: Hike into the hills behind Qaanaaq and experience the view out to Baffin Bay, or kayak around towering icebergs.

On Baffin Island, at the mouth of the famous Northwest Passage lies a small Inuit settlement. Pond Inlet is surrounded by spectacular snow-capped mountains, fjords and glaciers, and your exploration of this remote region will leave you with lasting memories.

Rocky cliffs rising steeply from the ocean, the raw beauty of Kangiqtualuk Uqquqti will make you feel like you are sailing along the edge of the world. A nesting ground for millions of bird species, join our on board ornithologist with your complimentary binoculars and see how many breeds you are able to spot.

Isabella Bay is Canada's first National Marine Wildlife Area, now a very important region bowhead whales, with over 100 whales recorded at one time. The Ninginganiq National Wildlife Area includes the islands of Isabella Bay and the surrounding shores.

Discovery: Join our Marine Biologists and Naturalists in Zodiacs as we observe bowhead whales in their natural environment.

Sisimiut is the second largest town in Greenland, and means “the people living in a place where the fox dens”. Stroll by the brightly coloured houses to explore one of the most widespread and beautiful backcountry areas in Greenland.

Your cruise ends this morning in Kangerlussuaq as you bid farewell to the crew and fly to Copenhagen.
