BOOKING CONDITIONS - Cruise Connections Ltd

Please read these important Booking Conditions carefully as they apply to all bookings accepted by Cruise Connections Ltd (otherwise referred to as "we" or "us")

 

HOW TO BOOK

You can book via our online booking engine, or contact us via email, phone or through the enquiry form.

One of our Travel Professionals will request a reservation for you.  All reservations are subject to availability and any verbal quote given is an estimate only.  The price and will be subject to change until written confirmation of the reservation is received.

 

AIRFARES

A number of airfares can be used in conjunction with your travel package.  All airfares are subject to availability and have special conditions.  In most cases airfares must be paid in full at the time of booking and are non-refundable.

 

AMENDMENT FEES

Any amendment to your booking is subject to the approval of the relevant Supplier/s.  Any approved change to your booking may incur an amendment fee.

 

BONDS

Bonds or credit card imprints will be required by most Suppliers, at the time of check-in.  Imprints are required to cover incidentals and fees not included in your holiday cost.  Other bonds may apply at certain times of the year.  Check with your travel professional prior to booking.

 

BUSINESS TRAVEL

Should our services be acquired for business purposes or where you hold yourself as acquiring our services for business purposes you agree that the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 will not apply to any supply of goods or services made under these conditions and nor will we be liable or responsible for any loss of damage of any kind, to you, including any consequential loss or damage however it may be caused.

 

CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS

Prior to final payment:  Most deposits are non-refundable. In some circumstances we may be able to transfer part of the deposit towards another holiday, with the same supplier.

After Final Payment:  There will be no refund of your deposit, in addition to any fees imposed by the Supplier, which could be up to 100% of monies paid.

After Travel:  Once travel has commenced there will be no refund for cancellation or for any unused services.  No request for refunds will be accepted more than 6 months after departure.

 

CHILDREN’S PRICES

As a general rule, children’s prices refer to children occupying the same room/cabin with at least two adults and using existing bedding.  There will be additional charges if extra beds (including rollaways and cots) are required.  Prices for any combination of children and adults should be obtained from your travel professional.

 

CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS

Prices in this brochure are for cash payments.   A credit card surcharge of between 1.5% – 3% (depending on card type) will apply if paying by credit card.

 

CRUISES

All prices unless otherwise stated are cruise only per person, twin share based on lead in interior staterooms and include discounts, charges and taxes (which are subject to change).  Prices can be withdrawn or varied without notice, are subject to availability and are correct at time of offer. Cabin/Staterooms are allocation at the discretion of the cruise company.  Special offers may be withdrawn without notice.  Inside cabins do not have a porthole/window.  This information is to be read in conjunction with the cruise company’s bookings and passage conditions by which passengers will be bound. . Please ask your travel professional for copy of the respective cruise company’s brochure and full cruise conditions.

Need time to think? But don’t want to miss out?…secure your cruise now with our no obligation 3 day book and hold facility without paying a thing!

This means your cruise is booked and the price is guaranteed for up to 3 days (unless of course a better deal comes out in which case we’ll be sure to let you know). Plus there’s no cancellation or amendment fees should you decide not to go ahead with this booking after 3 days. NB: In some cases, when bookings are made close to departure date this feature may not be available, we will let you know via email if that is the case with your booking and give you the option to pay the deposit required at that time.


DEPOSITS AND FINAL PAYMENT

Deposit

A minimum non-refundable deposit of $100 per person is required within 3 days of confirmation of your booking, unless otherwise advised at the time of booking.  Some Suppliers may impose deposits in addition to the minimum deposits stated here. A deposit holds service but does not guarantee prices. To guarantee prices full payment must be received.


Final Payment

Full payments must be made by the due date which will be advised to you at time of booking.  If payment is not received by the due date our suppliers may automatically cancel the booking without notice or liability to you, only on receipt of payment of the full cost of your travel will you have a final booking with the Supplier of the relevant goods and/or service.  In arranging your booking, Cruise Connections Ltd is acting as the agent of the Supplier of the relevant product and at no time do you have a contract with Cruise Connections.

 

GOVERNING LAW

All Booking Conditions are governed by the laws of New Zealand.

 

HEALTH

Please make yourself aware of any health requirements for your travel destination/s and ensure that you carry all necessary documentation (i.e Visa’s). Some Suppliers may reserve the right to refuse to carry or accommodate anyone at a certain stage of pregnancy or because of a health condition or disability, or who may require special services or facilities to be provided.  Please check with your travel professional, and your insurance provider if you are unsure.

 

MAPS AND PHOTOGRAPHS

Maps and photographs are included for general information only.  Room/cabin photography are representative only and actual rooms occupied may vary in décor and inclusions from those shown.

Some images used by us are supplied courtesy of the Hotels, local Visitor Centres and/or Suppliers.

 

ONBOARD CREDIT

On board credit where offered is per cabin in the on board currency (unless otherwise stated) and applies when a minimum of two passengers occupy a stateroom. The single on board credit if applicable will be advised at time of booking. Any unused on board credit is non-refundable, non-redeemable for cash and cannot be used in the medical centre or casino.

 

PASSPORTS AND IMMIGRATION

All travellers must be in possession of a valid passport and must be aware of all passport, visa, immigration, quarantine, customs and other requirements of the countries being visited or transited.  Cruise Connections Ltd is not responsible for ensuring that you comply with these requirements for any loss of expense resulting from your failure to comply with these requirements, however we are available for guidance in this area should you require it, note many visa’s incur an additional cost not included in our prices.

 

PRICES AND CONDITIONS

All prices are subject to availability and can be withdrawn or varied without notice.  Prices are provided as a guide only and may vary due to changes in surcharge, fees or taxes or due to currency fluctuations.  Please check all prices, conditions and information with your travel professional before booking. Should we have to change any part of your booking for reasons beyond our control, for example, an Accommodation Supplier overbooks accommodation or if there is an increase in local taxes or supplier charges, we will notify you.  If any changes result in you travel costing more or otherwise being materially different from that originally booked, then we will present these charges to you, if unacceptable, then you may cancel the holiday and we will refund any monies already paid but less any charges levied by the supplier. Some Suppliers may impose conditions that vary from the conditions stated in this brochure.  Please ask your travel professional at the time of booking if different conditions apply.

 

PRICES DO NOT INCLUDE

Anything not specifically indicated as being an inclusion of the package is an additional expense.

 

PRODUCT DESCRIPTIONS

Product descriptions and accommodation ratings featured in this brochure are provided by the individual Suppliers.  Facilities, features and/or ratings shown are subject to change at any time.  Check with your travel professional, at time of booking, if we are aware of any changes to published information.

 

RESPONSIBILITY

Cruise Connections is not itself an accommodation, transport, tour or cruise, provider.  We act only as agent for the Suppliers (i.e. Hotels, Tour Operators and other Suppliers) who provide the various goods and/or services (i.e. Products).  All bookings are subject to the terms and conditions and limitations of liability imposed by such Suppliers. Information used has been provided by Suppliers.  Irrespective of any measures taken by us to ensure the information is accurate at the time or printing, Cruise Connections Ltd disclaims and will be exempt from liability in respect of anything misleading, false, incomplete or inaccurate and any errors, wrong descriptions and all associated disappointment, loss, expense, damage, inconvenience, delay, death, shock, illness or injury however caused.  Cruise Connections Ltd does not control the manner in which Products featured are provided.  Cruise Connections Ltd disclaims and will be exempt from liability for anything to do with the supply of such Products.  This includes liability (whether as a matter of contract, tort, stature, restitution or otherwise) for any direct, indirect or consequential loss, liability, claim, cost, expense, proceeding, demand, penalty, disappointment, death, injury, illness, shock, inconvenience or delay.  This limitation of liability also applies irrespective of the cause, including negligence of us or a Supplier, withdrawal, cancellation or failure to provide a Product, delay, any variation in the Product, the variation of substitute Products or a change in the Supplier.  Without limitation, we will not be responsible if the Product is not available due to inclement weather conditions or other Acts of God, civil disturbances, fire, flood, Acts of Government or any other authorities, accident to or failure of machinery or equipment or industrial action.

 

TRANSFERS

Some suppliers provide courtesy transfers from airports/railways stations and it is essential that these transfers are pre-booked.  Some Tour Suppliers provide complimentary pick up and return to your holiday accommodation.  This service must be confirmed with the Supplier 24 hours prior to departure.

 

TRAVEL ADVICE

Cruise Connections Ltd makes no representations as to the safety conditions or other issues that may exist at your destination.  Travel advice should be obtained from the New Zealand Government Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade at www.safetravel.govt.nz.

 

TRAVEL INSURANCE

Travel insurance is strongly recommended as it may protect you against cancellation, disruption, loss of baggage, medical expenses or any other unforeseen circumstances.  Ask your travel professional for details.
